Yes, it takes a long time for mail bigger than a letter to travel between NL and USA. I hope to finish your scarf soon and mail early, too, because of the time needed to get it to you.

Thank-you! I can't wait to see it. :-D

My "Hat & Gloves" swap was inspired by this one (thanks, crochetfairy!), and by the coming cold weather! If you're interested, the sign-up thread is here.

It was a long, boring day today at work, so I was sneaky and finished up my scarf!!!  Now, it's just a matter of finding something to ship it in.  Woohoo.

Oh you guys and your damn determination!  I am working away on my scarf(oh I wish I got to keep this one LOL!), but I took a little time out last night and made the lil devil baby hat for my nephew.  I just found out that I would be seeing him this weekend.  I didn't expect to be seeing him before Hallowe'en, and at the same time I happened along the link for this hat again...can you say fate???  Well, all done the hat, back to the scarf!  It probably won't be completely finished before Hallowe'en

I usually use whatever I have around the house. Lately it has been shoe boxes Cheesy  I just use that brown parcel wrap paper to cover it and it works great. Just a thought Wink

Also, I just wanted to thank everyone for doing so well with this swap. If things keeping going on this track, we may not have any flakers! yay! *crossing fingers* seems like most of you are finishing early. Can't wait to see your creations. Wink

If you are planning on shipping it Priority, the post office has free envelopes and boxes that you can use.

ooh, I didn't think about that. I always wondered if those boxes and envelopes were free or not. Smiley

I'm on my way to walmart soon and am probably going to pick up a padded envelope.  I try to go to the post office before coming to work, so I like to have everything ready to go so that I can just run in, print out the stamp, etc. and go.  Although, the last package I sent out for a swap, I used the self-help machine and I did pay for a DC#, but it's not working.  Has anyone else had that problem?  Maybe I paid for it, but did something else wrong.... Embarrassed

I've figured this out--if you get a DC# at the machine, it doesn't get scanned until they deliver it.  This has happened to me twice and one of my swap partners.  So it shows on the website that it's not a valid number, but once it gets there, it shows up delivered.  Who would have known?
