Mine was pretty long before I assembled it.  There's a lot of the length taken up making the base of the doll.  Plus, it looks different when it's stuffed.  The arms fit just fine.  Besides, if your arms look squatty, you could always do a few tentacles on the hands! 

Thanks for all the kind words.  I cursed this project a few times but was glad when it came together.

Wow, that's too nice.  I was worried about designing something on my own, but it really wasn't so bad.  I knew what I wanted, and I just tried until I got it.  I plan on designing more things as soon as school settles down (I'm a teacher).  Thanks for the encouragement.
