I was going to entitle this "I can see your knickers!"  Grin

I hate the fact I can get undies for the men in my life (2 sons and 1 husband, I'm not polyamorous lol) that cost 5 for 5 pairs not quite but you KNOW what I mean and then have to pair twice the price for one pair of knickers for myself! Hmmm I guess theres a touch more fabric in mine LOL but not enough to justify the price.
Tonight while beloved is at work I've had a go at making myself some undies  Smiley I sent him a pic to his phone...as you do  Cheesy
I'm rather pleased with how they've turned out so I thought I'd come and share them with you too. Don't worry, there's no action shots  Wink Grin Wink
They are made from leftover fabric from my Infinity (and beyond) dress, so if its a windy day and my skirt blows up well, at least I'll match!
They took all of 5 mins to make and as its a stretchy fabric I haven't had to put elastic in, I've just used the rolled hem option on my serger to finish of the legs and waist.
I used a pattern for a bikini by Simplicity no.5073 (I THINK) and just made then shorter in the body, I didn't want them up to my armpits lol Nothing special, i know, but they FIT!! I can see matching panties for every outfit I make from now on  Cool

OOH!! They came out so cute! I've been wanting to do the same thing w/ a the bottoms of a swimsuit pattern..only I'm stuck on the idea of boy shorts.
It's impossible to find a decent fitting pair that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.  Roll Eyes

Those turned out really cute!
I like boy shorts, too, but I agree they're too expensive. I wonder how hard they would be to make. I'd also love to make some with slightly longer legs, like the guy ones (I call them tightywhities, lol, I think they're actually called long line briefs) they'd be comfy and also maybe tackle that chub rub issue we were talking about in another thread...
My question is, aren't panties supposed to have a cotton crotch? I can't remember why that is...

If you have a problem with yeasties you should always wear panties with a cotton crotch for good air circulation.
