It's PINK and black and white, isn't it?  Not red?  I started to do a pink, black and white rag quilt like that for my daughter's room, but I totally $^@%*& up and cut the fabric all wrong.  But...now I just use it in tons of other projects.  lol!

ummm its probably about 5 feet by 7 feet. or some odd measurement like that. i really didnt measure it too well (all the squares are...but ...haha...im not the best at that either..) but yeah. its hotpink black and white. i love it. i made another one for my boyfriend except it was different patterns with blue in them becuase thats his favorite color. but yeah. they're verrrrrrrrry simple. kinda thin though. so not the best for winter...

Very nice!  When you say they are thin - are they just the one layer of cotton, not lined?

I made shaggy quilts for babies and did large squares (easier), sewed the front and back squares and batting together at once and then sewed rows and so on.  The quilts are pretty darned heavy!

Or if you wanted to, you could make another backing (so it is shaggy on the outside) and then just use the tie-method for the quilting, with batting in the middle.

Just a couple of ideas for ya! Smiley

yeahhh. they have batting (is that what its called? oh man im horrible) matting? whatever....  Undecided in the middle of the squares...like each square is sewn individually with that stuff in the middle. its probably just because i bought the thinner kind. im positive you could make it thick ify ou wanted. its just a matter of how much you want to spend and such. (my sewing machine doesnt like the tension changed. 'tis very touchy. so i try hard not to make things too thick so i dont have to change it. shame on me...haha) but yeah.  thats that.
