Okay, I'm officially jealous  Wink  I love Hello Kitty and you did a fantastic job on those slippers.  I'm going to have to crochet myself a pair soon since the weather is getting cold and my dog ate my only pair of slippers last Winter.

Thank you! Oh you definitely need some slippers then, KatAutumn, Bad doggy. They really don't take very long at all. I think I only spent a couple of hours on them, and I'm a pretty slow crocheter.

Wow, your second pair looks even better than the first! I made a pair, but then I couldn't figure out how to do the ears right. Any suggestions? I did 6 hdc for the base. They came out looking too pointy instead of a nice equilateral triangle.

OOo I can help you with that! I wrote out what I did for the ears when I did the second pair. Although, right now I am very tired and am not sure where it is. I will post them tomorrow.

thanks  Grin
Emmalou- drink the koolaid...make the slippers. They are sooo much fun. But make sure you read the errata page first. There are quite a few mistakes in the pattern.

I just remembered to find that ear pattern. here it is...
I used the Lion brand jiffy yarn for mine so for the ears I doubled the yarn like I did for the bottom sole and used an I hook.

Ch 6
row 1- hdc in 2nd ch from end, hdc to end. (4 stitches)
row 2- Ch 2 turn, 2 hdc2tog (put the last stitch in the turning chain to keep a straight edge)
row 3- Ch2 turn, hdc2tog (put last stitch in the turning chain as before)
end and weave in the ends.

I hope that makes sense and works out. If not tell me. I'm just copying what I wrote down in my book. (It could be complete gibberish)
