(faint)
I have been rendered unconscious by the cute!

Can you elaborate a little on the mods you made? I was going to make these my next project and now I want to even more!

PS: I would LOVE to see the Badtz Maru ones when you're done, he's my very favorite and there's not near enough Badtz Maru stuff...

verso - The only mods to the original crochet pattern I made were the ears. I didn't write it down (bad me) They were done in Hdc with like 2 decreases per row to make a triange. I think I started out with 6 stitches or something like that. I just kind of eyeballed it. I then sewed the ears on. (this is all before sewing the entire slipper together). Then I made a template of the eyes, nose, and bow out of this stick on paper my mom uses for machine embroidery. I stuck the eyes and nose on the slipper top itself and embroidered right over the paper so I could get perfect ovals. Then I stuck the bow template to some felt I had. I cut out the bows and backstitched all of the details. Sewed the bows on and voila! I sewed the wiskers on after the entire slipper was assembled so they could hang over some of the seams.

After all of the hassle I had with the embroidery, I would just do it all in felt. I just didn't have any yellow or black felt at the time and didn't want to wait.

I hope that helped!

What type of yarn did you use? I'd like to make a pair for my friend, who is a HK fanatic. They look awesome!

I used Lion brand jiffy yarn. About 2 and a half skeins in white. wtih a J hook. They were a tad small for me and I have a size 8 foot (they come right to the back of my heel. So if your friend has bigger feet I would either go up a hook size or Add a little to the pattern. I doubled the yarn for the bottom sole part and used one strand for the upper sole and slipper top. Hope that helps!
