 Here's what I got!

It is a tote with an embroidered knife.  The knife-handle has the initials J.T.R for Jack the Ripper!

Then there is a Charlie Manson Voodoo doll!  You know it's charlie by the "M" on his prison getup and the swastika carved in his forehead!  Maybe it's just that crazy look in his eye.  He even came with pins stuck in all his major organs.

ANd finally there is a Charlie Manson Greatest Hits CD.  How many of you out there knew that Charlie was just another frustrated artist...much like HITLER!
We used to have the 60 years of Charlie CD....but it was never returned and now all we have is the cover art.

Sorry, there are no pics of detail, but my $10 digital camera doesn't do so well with close-ups.

Enjoy!  I know I will!

Oh boy--I remember Charles Manson and how crazy he looked on TV--wow--Helter Skelter is still a frightening book!! Keep sticking those pins in him, please....

Gruesome drinks? Am I sick to want to know what they are? ha ha

Interesting swap--can't wait to see the rest--I bet there was a wealth of "inspiration", which is kinda too bad, but part of our culture....nice crafting jobs!!

I've received! Here's my loot:

My swap buddy sent me a decoupage/collaged box with images of John Wayne Gacy on it. Here's a few images:

She also sent me a handmade necklace with guts and other body parts on it:

I also got a great crocheted potholder and some fridge magnets. Here's the one she drew:

That cracks me up. It's on the microwave right now. You can't miss it when you walk in the kitchen.

Thanks Kara!

in case you didn't know, and this is for everyone, John Wayne Gacy was a professional clown for awhile. Can you imagine how you'd feel if you found out the clown who entertained at your kid's birthday party was actually a serial killer who stuffed underwear in people's mouths? Creepy. But anyhoo, his clown name was Pogo. He painted a lot of pictures of himself in clown dress. Just thought i'd share. I didn't know any of this until this swap, so I'm excited that I learned something new.

I recieved! My favorite serial killer was Jack the Ripper. This is what carolb sent me:

An apron, for all my ripping needs. I also got my very own knife.

A very cool purse with letters from Jack all over it. Exactly what I needed.

Inside the purse were letters from Jack, and a gross eyeball squishy ball that i can't seem to let go of.

This is all so cool. Thank you carolb, for the awesome stuff, and thank you slygrimalkin for the awesome swap.

When I first heard of this swap I feared how it could turn out -- well, that could've been the idea along... to put fear in the hearts of craftsters -- but, my worry was that folks might send each other severed fingers or something and totally take the swap to some freaky extreme.

But, you guys carried this thing off famously. The swap goodies that have been shared so far are gruesomely gorgeous and I'm ready to sign up for the sequel.

I received an Andre Chikatilo Skirt from KidKoala and it's fantastic! She stenciled his creepy face on it for me, and threw in a Charlie CD, and some note cards that someone (other than me) has misplaced, but they will be located and pics will be posted! Thanks!

I guess since ArtXinXLies seems to have disappeared, I'll tell you what I sent her, myself.  She received:

- a bright yellow t-shirt tote with a blue pocket in the front.  The pocket said: Come visit the family at  Spahn Ranch in sunny Death Valley!

- a small bag ( right size for sunglasses or cell phone) with a tie closure and iron-ons.  The iron-ons were from the front and back covers of a Charlie Manson album released in '94 called "60 years".

- an apron with three pockets.  The middle pocket had a stencil of the most famous Charlie picture, the wild looking one.

- stationary with a picture of a bald Charlie sticking his tounge out and the headline emblazoned: Come visit the Family at Spahn Ranch in sunny Death Valley.

I think there might have been something else small, but I can't remember.....
