it's absolutely lovely!  I looked at the directions and the double knitting part confused me a little, but I usually need to be shown in person, or with videos and pictures when I'm learning new techiniques. You should have seen me try to turn the heel of my first sock using the pattern alone!  Grin

I'll have to figure out double knit before I tackle this pattern, but I fully intend to make it for my sister for Christmas.

What a great scarf!  And an excellent idea for using double-knitting.   Grin

Thanks for sharing your pattern!

Your scarf is adorable. If I can get my huge in-progress pile down I'd definitely like to try it. A lot of double knitting patterns I've seen are sort of frumpy and uninspiring, but yours is so cute.
There's a good video at knittinghelp.com for those of you who need to see it being done.

I showed the scarf to my sister and she freaked! She was acutally hyperventalating and requested one for her birthday.  It's in September, so I have to get started, don't I...

Both she and I love the colour combo, by the way.  And I found a video on knittinghelp that makes double knitting seem rather easy.

Thanks for the free pattern!!
