My first challenge entry!  Smiley  I just loved the roving offered as the prize for this one so I *had* to try and enter!

I decided to try knitting a tiny sweater from embroidery floss, thinking back to the Harry Potter bookscarf I had started knitting from a pattern online (somewhere..sorry forgot exactly who created it).  I decided to make the sweater with my favourite NASCAR driver's logo and colors.  My favourite driver is Michael Waltrip, and he drives the #55 NAPA Auto Parts Dodge (soon to be Toyota).

I charted the NAPA logo but it came out with too many stitches so I ended up just doing his number, 55.  Oh and I was having such a hard time picking up stiches I gave up on sleeves and made it a tank top.  Cheesy

I apologise for the pictures, I don't have a real digital camera (just two cheapie $20 cameras that take sucky pictures).  I took a few shots with my nice film camera and will post those pictures as soon as I get the film developed later today -- I just couldn't wait to post this!  Smiley

EDIT: Got my film back, with WAY clearer pictures!

Awesome!  Think that would fit a Ken doll?  Nascar Ken!

If it lives in the water or flies in the air, I'm in love with it. In New Zealand I saw a flying fish and almost wet myself.

Oh so great!  Is that real intarsia work, or did you work the numbers on with a needle?  Either way...fantastic!

No that's real intarsia.  Wasn't easy, believe me, but I absolutely stink at duplicate stitch.
