I've totally got tile and mess envy too.  I should take pics now and start over again.

HOORAY!!! I finally have something to post in here!!!!
So, it is not 100% clean - I'll point out that there are intentionally no closet pics and my fabric has to be stored in another room...
BUT!!!!!!!!!! you can walk in my room!!!!! And I even feel inclined to work in there!
Pictures of my former "Room of Shame" - as I called it:
2005 when I first moved in:                                       2007 after some sorting...or something:

PRESENT DAY!!!!: notice ghostly orbs of happiness Tongue and my painter's tape labels on everything. Grin

And allow me to point out the magnets on the wall - held by my magnetic paint! Grin

I will admit that when the manfriend moved in he encouraged a lot of cleaning - apparently he felt the need for office space too but it worked out for me!!! A mere THREE years later and I have a usable space!!!  Grin Cheesy Grin

Does the magnetic paint work well after it is covered with another color?  I love the idea of doing that!!!

It does ok. The magnetic paint is black and I applied at least three coats - maybe four - and then had to cover it with two colored layers of the orange paint...so it doesn't accept heavy magnets very well unless it is a strong magnet. I love my magnetic walls but I do wish the magnetic strength was a bit stronger. Allow me to recommend doing smaller areas with lots of coats of paint. Tongue

Oh boy. This is exactly what I need.
My bedroom is pretty much a craftroom with a bed.
lol.

Heres some pictures:

My messy, messy table...
I got it garbage picking.
And covered it with a bunch of music things from magazines.

Id love to make some new sheets. Way too much white.

Another table.. Enough said...
(The computer doesnt even work..lol)

More of the chaos.
I did orginize the fabric in the top drawr though.
My mom and I are also sharing a closet right now.

The laundry situation.

Energy Drink cans.
I pride myself in this bookcase.
I'd love to find something to do with them though..they take up too much room.
My window broke..so thats what that sheet of glass is.

And...my dresser.

Any tips as to not get so overwhelmed while trying to get rid of clutter?
Also..my walls are paneling (yuck)

What can I do..without painting them?

Cut the tops & bottoms of your energy drink cans off, flatten the strips  under some bricks, then nail them onto a board or tack onto an old bulletin board in a pattern that appeals to you.  Maybe do a three of these, then hang the tryptych on the wall to cover up your ugly paneling.
