The funny thing about you r setup is that mine is the same. The whole me sewing and crafting and The Boy with recording music and such. Small world. Smiley

So the studio (or the ADD) is winning.  I got a bunch of it cleaned up and decided I needed some spiffy new pin cushions and a pretty bin for all of my sharp, scissory things:

But that's stash busting and giving homes to things which would otherwise be relegated to stuffy, pants plastic containers, right?  Right?

Haha awesome, maybe you have some secrets to keep organized?

My hubby is a dj and LOVES music! Which is great cause I love all the same music he does so I get to listen to it all the time... sometimes I secretly use his cd players and pretend to be a dj Tongue Kinda like when we were young and pretended to be grown ups haha

What ever it takes, piratelibrarian!

I am lurking in this thread to shame myself into getting back to the " . . . Then let's clean it up!" half (since I shared my mess back in, oh, June?)

I've always been a neat freak so all of my stuff I make sure I keep on my side. I let his side pile up to the point to he has to clean it up. The funny thing I do that with the whole house. I keep my stuff neat so I really don't need to clean cause it's all my husband's. And I told that don't touch his stuff because it's exspensive and I don't want to brake it, so he has to do it. Wink

OKay...it didn't actually take me a week and a half to get this thing under control.  I was, in fact, finished the day I started then got busy filling orders and shopping and having my mum foist free supplies from auctions upon me (which obviously needed new homes too) so of course it's a wee bit more of a mess than it was 2 fridays ago but it's far more organized than it was.

Without further ado, here it is:

Look!  Floors!  And a plugged in sewing machine!

Things having homes!  And the sewing machine is still plugged in!

More things having homes!  The big empty space on the shelf is where my embroidery stuff goes (which is just to the right on the chest.) The mess on the chest is stuff which will be going into a swap I'm hosting this evening so I don't feel too badly about them not having a home at the moment.

One funny from the experience was that I had a big rubbermaid bin under my desk which hadn't been opened in a long time as I thought I knew that it contained pillows.  Well I actually opened it and found my ginormous stash of dupioni and Thai silks.  That was a nice surprise Smiley

Fin!

No, ghilie, YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

You gave me a giggle with the "hobby lobby threw up" line!

Piratelibrarian, I love your sewing table and the awesomeness of purple furnishings. Your space looks organized and busy. I have heard that a clean desk (workroom?) is the sign of a sick mind. You are just healthy, that's all!  Roll Eyes

Hee!  My romantic interest says something similar everytime he walks by my room...except the store he references is Fabricland.

graced - thanks.  I'm a fan of my purples and my organized mayhem too.  As much as I'd like to card catalogue everything and have doors behind which things can be hidden I can't deny that part of me who likes to look around and see what there is to get into for inspiration.
