Two thread carnations I made as a gift for a secret pal exchange I was a part of for another craft site.  I have been planning to make some more for my mom and MIL - just haven't gotten around to it.

It is size 10 thread, and I will see about the pattern - if I remember correctly, it was worked in a spiral ruffle in a light colour, then edged in pink.  I then attached a floral wire for the stem.  I made some leaves, and holding all the excess thread down along the wire, wrapped floral tape around it.
