This skirt is my baby! It was uber easy to make, i got the pattern from an old thread somewhere around here, and it was the first project I ever did. I just finished it this past july, and i made it from the sleeves of two men's dress shirts. The blue-amber flowered vaquero styled patches are from a vaquero style shirt i bought for $1.50 in LA, and the brown candystripe is a steal from a shirt my ex-boyfriend never wore anyway. I finnaly got photobucket,(hell yeah!) and finnaly got my hands on my dad's digital cam long enough to take pics, so it is, finnaly, the first project by ValleyGirl, and the skirt that gave my dad hell, the 60's Hippie Skirt!!!

The front of the skirt, that bit of red, black, green and yellow you might see  on the ground is my kofu. Cheesy

Haha! Me pretending to be a model and ending up as a sunlight-in-my eyes- shot.
That's it!

What an awesome idea to make it using the sleeves. Now I have another project to try out! Great job!

That's such a pretty skirt!  You look awesome in it, and I looove it with the simple tank.  In a way, your dad's suffering is totally justified lol.

From the book Godless:

Just Al: I know that God is real. I feel his presence in my heart
Me: What does it feel like?
Just Al: It's hard to describe Jason. It feels good.
Me: Oh. I thought maybe it was like heartburn or something.

Aww, thanks guys! I'm happy to get so much good feedback! Cheesy
And to kukeit-yes, incredibly neighborhoods like this do exsist. Shocking, especially in the middle of Southern California.

ValleyGirl - What a cute skirt and a great fabric combination. I really like that it looks comfortable and not too tight. Kind of floaty! Nice place, too. Not too much lawn to mow!!:)
