Hey guys!  My name is Lauri and I live in Texas.  I do all kinds of crafting but just had my first experience with polymer clay last week.   I made this goddess doll and added some embossing powders onto it before baking.

Oh, it's wonderful!!  Did you make a little cell of embossing powder for the heart too??

I see you're from San Antonio, so now you have to check out (and join) the San Antonio polymer clay guild  Grin... for details about all the Texas (and other) polymer guilds (clubs), look on this page:
http://www.npcg.org/guilds/localguildlist.htm
(polymer guilds welcome everyone from brand-newbies to professionals...plus they usually have classes, demos, etc., as well as free lending libraries of polymer books and tapes... can't beat that deal)

And welcome to this group!

She is beautiful! I adore her face, so serene.

Great job, especially for just starting to dabble in polymer clay!

Thanks y'all!

And yes...for the heart, I had this little bitty heart thing and smooshed it in there to make an indentation, pulled it out, and filled it up with the red embossing powder.

I made some magnets, also, that same day; but I think my kids stole them!  I want to take a picture but, hmmmmmmm...no one knows where they are! lol!

And I'll definitely check out the polymer clay guild...I've been in SA for a year, and I'm really trying to find some friends who are interested in what I'm interested in.  And no offense to scrapbookers, but, I don't do that and apparently everyone else does!  lol!

I really like this! I have yet to work with embossing powders on my clay after years of working with it!  Shocked
