Heyhey - here's photos of my latest batch of felted friends. I mentioned on another thread that I was working on incorporating feathers into needle felting and I've achieved success!  Smiley Most of the flowers will become pins, but I also have another secret idea for them as well. The bird also has feathers and I've since added wensleydale curls to its tail and its looking good. Also notice the amazing multi-colours of roving in some of the flowers thanks to the very amazing and talented Caedara and her very special order of hand-dyed wool for me.  Kiss
Hope you like-even though this ancient digital camera is of NO use for a decent photo... remind me to ask santa for a really good digital camera for xmas.  Tongue  Grin in no particular order:

lexis - those flowers are awesome!
The feathers really are a fabulous addition - you've good artistic instinct to try + use them in your work. And Caedrea's roving has really come up a treat in your work. The colors in this one http://www.craftster.org/pictures/data/500/16320purpleviola.jpg are so interesting
For some reason they look like they belong in the Aussie outback. Out in the either the bush scrub or the desert. Especially that green one with the red center looks deadly poisionous

I hope you include a few on the stall your holding. I think they'd go down a treat as either hair decorations or as pins   Wink

Thanks so much Jane - you've made my day.
I was a little worried that they were really too extreme... (the green spikes on the 'poisonous' one are up to 6" long.) But you guys keep inspiring me and I just keep on making them hoping you'll like 'em.

Zowie!  Extreme wonderfuleness.  Edgy and beautiful, not too extreme at all.  Great dying Caedara and Fab felting Lexis.

Very original ideas and colour schemes - they make a refreshing change from "normal" flowers shapes and I think your customers will appreciate that.

Out of interest, where do you get your pin backs from?  I bought some aluminium pin backs by mail order recently - the type with a flat plate that you can glue pieces on to.  There is nothing wrong with them, they just look cheap and I feel they let down the work on the front.  I'd like to get something that looks more expensive but doesn't cost me a fortune!

WOW!  I'm in love, especially with the red and purple spiky one with the curly tendrils...  Your bird is pretty awesome too- he makes me giggle a little  Cheesy
