Ok, so I know alot of you are thinking so what. But the sad thing is at my library most of the craft books are either kids or really old. I've been searching for a while for any kind of newer book and now they have Leah's book!!! Can't wait to see it.

Awesome!! I feel ya on the "really outdated, or child friendly" craft books dominating bookshelves at the library... even though there are some really cool books from the sixties and seventies at my library.

Even if this book is not in your library, and you want to "try before you buy" (although I bought the book immediately after seeing a few projects in the borrowed one), most libraries have an InterLibrary Loan system in which you could request this book from other libraries that have it.

someone posted a really good point that arts/crafts books in libraries can be so outdated. let's take the craftster revolution nationwide-- it's super easy to request a book be bought by your library (and they have the budgets to do it!). you can actually fill out the form online. no person should be without a book clutch or a loincloth!!!

Please request these books at your library! I'm doing my best at my library (where i work) to replace the corny craft books with new cooler books, but it can be an uphill battle. You'd be surprised how much the "ducks in bonnets" books get circulated!
Any suggestions for new books would be appreciated.

BTW- the budget thing, not so much. Public library budgets are very low compared to thier usefullness to the community, and books are expensive, so if you want more, newer craft books, vote yes on their next budget increase!

Hey, we just got Leah's book at the library I work at.  I'm so excited!  I'm always looking for projects I can do with my teen crafternoon group.
