Hey you craftster-girls.  I am making this dress for the Boy/Girl swap; hopefully my partner won't read this, because I was hoping it would be kind of a secret.   The dress right now is very pretty, but the fabric (yellow, maybe crepe...I've forgotten fabric names) is pretty sheer.  Even when I self-lined the top part, it's a bit see-through.  But as I am a boy, I don't really know how much of a problem that is.  Do you think I need to line it with something opaque?  I want to make something she can wear...

Well, if the dress does seem too sheer to wear, try making an opaque slip. This way you won't tamper with the dress too much, and you can make a comfy slip. Smiley

i second the slip idea. it doesn't need to be complex just something to help cover up. and as afore mentioned if it's not attached to the dress you won't have to worry about messing up what you already have. good luck!
