Wow, after seeing all the other entries, I almost chickened out to enter mine but decided to go ahead anyway.  This is my first challenge.

I don't have any action shots of the 'making' process so decided to show the items I used in the making instead.  I crocheted this with a size 1 steel crochet hook and used 3 strands of regular sewing thread (the picture has been enlarged so the items show up)

Now, the GOLDEN DOILY (it has a 1 3/4" diameter)

and action shots:

and with a lantern designed for a doll house

Yee-haw!!!!  That's very well done!!!   Grin

I love things made for dollhouses!!!!  Do you have one???  A dollhouse I mean.

It's my dream to have a grand one someday and make things for it!  There is truly great inspiration on this tiny challenge for that sort of thing!

Again, good job,

No, I don't have a doll house but, the reason I have the lantern is because I collect miniature kitchen utensils and my parents, in their excitement to get me miniatures, lost sight of the fact I only collect kitchen utensils and they started to buy me any miniature they could find - thus, I now have a collection of other miniatures even though I don't want to collect them  Smiley

Because it seemed rather plain compared to some other entries.

How funny!  My mom is a collector of all kinds of things and she wants me to collect so badly...she'll bring me something every now and then to see if I'll love them so much that I'll start collecting them. (Thimbles, Tea Strainers, Limoges, etc.)  I haven't really run into anything yet...thanks to her I have a pretty decent collection of Christmas Limoges...but they only come out at Christmas.  I can't afford to collect things...I have to support my crafting habit!!!   Tongue

Mom's probably going to read this...I told her about Craftster and now she's been making necklaces out of paper beads LIKE CRAZY!!!  I'll have to post some of them for her some day soon.

No more off-topic...I promise!!!

Later,
RM

I understand totally - if I ever say to my Mom that I am interested in something, she will overwhelm me with that item until I tell her to stop - the latest was mini wind chimes.  She gave me one once and I said it was nice and the next thing I know, I'm collecting them (in her mind).

Now, if she wants to feed my collection of cotton fabric or yarn, I won't complain - but that's doesn't seem to happen  Grin

Your choice of colors is just great--it really makes the doily snap in a way it wouldn't if it were monochrome.  And your tiny, tiny stitches look so tidy.
