A few questions:

-did you do anything to prepare the bottlecaps before painting on them?
-what kind of paints did you use?
-did you use any kind of sealer afterward?

She used acrylic.. Smiley  Not sure about the other two.

I sanded the bottlecaps just a tad so they'd be rough enough to take paint.

I used acrylic paint, and gave them a quick layer of acrylic medium.

Ah, they're great! The frame is perfect for making you really want to get close to the paintings, it makes them seem very precious and important.

You all should try making wee paintings while you're still young and still have your eyesight.  I have no training in painting.  All it takes is some practice!
