Wee Curvy Kitten... the tiniest Pointy Kitty!

Here is my entry for challenge #14 - The Tiny Little Challenge! I knew when I read the challenge I had to make it a tiny Pointy Kitty - the tiniest I'd wager! I hope Hillary doesn't mind that I resized her pattern, I made the tail a little less pointy, as this little one is modeled after my younger cat, Monkey. She was 1/2lb when I got her, and I knew her stuffy had to be proportionately tiny (I've also modeled one after my older, larger cat, Spazz.) Here are the two of them together!






I backed white flannel with white denim (attached with fabric glue for seam stability.) It was really a bear to sew through the glue, but I knew I wanted tiny seam allowances, and that they'd rip out without reinforcement. The underbelly seam was sewn on the inside, I'd originally wanted to sew the whole thing that way, but when I decided to use the fabric glue, all of the pieces stiffened up too much to be able to turn right sides out. After that, it was just a matter of lots of tiny whip-stitching to close her up; I stuffed as I sewed, from the bottom up to avoid having to stuff into an impossibly tiny hole at the end. A little messy, but it was kind of fun to rip out bits of stuffing that peaked out! Sewn together with 3 strands of embroidery floss, the eyes & nose were drawn on; all other embellishments are felt glued on. I hope you enjoy her, I'm so happy I finished her!

She's just over 2" lengthwise, I had a hard time figuring the resized 3d dimensions. Grey kitty is 9" tall by 6" wide! I hope I still qualify!

Thanks you guys, so much! I really worked hard to finish her up, and I really had a good time, working on my idea, then bringing it to fruition! I really want to say a great big Thanks! to Warmfuzzies for her sweet words of encouragement, you really helped me out, more than you know!

Ok, I hope the next challenge isn't tiny again, though! I'm not sure my poor fingers could take it! LOL
