Crocheted Sewing Thread Hat *Updated with hook

Thanks guys.  I didn't figure on being the first one to post...I was going to use 'strategery' and all, but then I decided, what the heck.  It's good enough!

I had thought of at least making a little bead with a face painted on it like a little doll to display it, but I didn't want it to detract from the hat itself.  I could make a little bitty hat stand out of a bead and some wire.  Could be nice.

As for how I did it...I just made that hook as tiny and as pointy as I could with a metal nail file so it would go through the stitches like a needle would have, but with the 'hook' part still able to grab the thread.  I made a flat piece, 15 single crochet stitches across, 8 rows high, then seamed it up and added the flower.

That hat is incredible!  I don't think I could get my hands to do something that teeny tiny.  I'm in awe!

Its a hat for a needle, in case the needle gets cold.

Ha-ha...that actually is the end of the crochet hook it's on now...I just need to take a pic of the other end! ...I'm off to find my camera.
