What a great idea for stationery! Letter size that can be cut to note size, I love it! Thanks for the really great pictures, too. That is my biggest problem getting a great shot equal to the quality of what the person sent!

sewknitter O_O. Holy crap, so much stuff XD.  I love Hermies eyes sticking out on stalks. How did you do that with knitting? (Also, he has claws O_O. Its so detailed.) The hermit crab that can change its shells is a really really awesome idea XD. Ive... never heard of tatting before at all. But that jellyfish has really cool streaming tentacles, and the plants look very soft and the seahorses have a cool frothiness. I like the baby one looking up. Your earrings/pendant and fridge magnets look really shiny. I wish I could see them from closer up.

You are like me, LOL, I get to crafting then forget to keep up with the list.  Roll Eyes  I had a wonderful time re-looking at all the great stuff people made, thanks to your post.  Smiley

Okay, to answer your questions. For the eye stalks I used the 3 stitch I-cord method. That is the same as the Nautilus tentacles in the Nautie pattern. If you knit it really tight, they get stiff. Then I threaded the I-cord down on one side of a stitch and back up the other side. (V is stitch, l is the I-cord. VlVlV ) then I tacked the I-cord together near the base. Then sewed the eyes to the ends. Easy when you know how Wink

Tatting is really doublestitch macrame using a shuttle or needle. My grandmother taught me, and I've been doing it nearly 30 years. . .  if you google "tatting" there are lots of sites out there that show you how. But it is easier if someone sits beside you and watches you.

Oh, and it is very slow! the big seahorse probably has 3 -4 hours in it! The little ones are an hour each? But I ride in the car a lot with my husband driving (spoiled rotten I am Grin ) and so I think of my tatting as free time.

I didn't photograph the items before I sent, I was running very late, so I did my best to get it in the mail as soon as I could. The photos I had were a sneak preview for knottydottie so that she would know that I really WAS crafting and not flaking! Maybe hiptobeme will get a few pictures of the little stuff for you.

Chloe the package is done, now I have to wrap it pretty, will finish that by midnight tonight. . . so it will mail on Tues/Wed when I get near a post office in this rural area.

Hello!

Okay, so I have been totally remiss in posting pictures of the AMAZING and totally spoiling package that Sewknitting sent to me, so prepare yourself for pictures.

Here is the amazing amazing knitting tote bag (with tons and tons of pockets, and places for kneedles and zippered pouches and more) that she made for me, check out the crazy embroidery on both sides:

yes, the octopus is KNITTING with little teeny needles - whoa!

details:

the inside of the bag:

stich holder, beautiful stitch markers, jelly fish earings, wonderful beaded octopus neclace, crazy abacus row counter

detail of the stitch markers:

wonderful needle roll inside and outside fabric:

there were also some great knitting patterns, some teal yarn, a beach magnet, great hand-made fridge magnets (ack -- forgot pictures) and a BEAUTIFUL knit cuff with real shells all over it, I love it but cannot take a picture of myself with it on and seeing it not being worn does not do it justice, so pictures of that are on their way.

So thank you thank you thank you

and everyone, let's

give it up for Sewknitter!

Holy goodness!

Did you embroider that by hand or with a machine?  It looks amazing!
