This is my first attempt at making a greeting card.  I used card stock for the outside and scrapbook paper for decoration.  Here's my problem.  I used a glue stick to glue the paper on, but it made the card, I'm not sure how to describe it, but it wasn't flat, kind of wavy feeling.  I thought I used too much glue so I used a lot less on the second piece, but it did the same thing.  Is there a better way to attach paper?  Thanks in advance!

Hi.  I like your card and I'll bet your Mum did too.  I've found that some glue sticks are better than others - I've tried several but always go back to the UHU stick.  I get the one that goes on purple and dries clear so I can see where I've glued - old age is creeping up on me, lol.

Try putting glue only on the edges of the paper and handle the paper as little as possible so it doesn't stretch (found that one out the hard way   Grin )  You'll know if you used too much glue if it shows around the edges when you press the paper into place.

Experiment as much as you can and continue to make your own cards.  My mother is 87 and keeps all the cards I make for her.
