i'm glad you like the stuff! Smiley i had so much fun trying to figure out what to make from my stash. it was quite challenging!
the purse and cuff are crocheted and the wood pendant is done with a wood-burning tool and then painted.

Everything looks so lovely! I'm really excited to see what I'm going to get and to send goodies off to my partner! This was a great idea! I'm all for another round. Smiley

Probably so.  It takes about 2 weeks (by air) when I ship to my friend in CA.  4-6 weeks by ground!

I opened my swap package from Ptarmic wumpus and found all these wonderful goodies:

There's a felted bead bracelet, a silk dupioni palmetto bug purse, and a bunch of loose felted beads (I'll have to start thinking of a project for them).

A wall hanging/organizer made with "bizarre" appliques from a thrifted vest.  She must have remembered that I had admired them when they were shown in the original swap post.  The red sections are pockets, and the creatures on the purple background are appliques made from the backing fabric.  The white thing sticking up from the bottom right pocket is one of the notes that was included for each item giving a detailed description.  I forgot to take it out for the picture.

Last but not least...

A mounted poplar leaf beetle made of sculpey!  Unfortunately a couple of his legs fell off in transit, but nothing that can't be solved with a dollop of glue, I'm sure.  I love him.  The presentation is just like one of those mounted specimens in a museum.

Everything is absolutely gorgeous; I love it all!  Thank you so much, ptarmic wumpus!

I'm glad you like it, *k* ! UPS must have banged it around a bit - there were long strands of fishing line in mr. bug's legs that went into the body. Although I put them there before I baked him, so maybe they melted! The front of the frame should come off with a razor (it is just on with Elmers), but I think I used superglue to attach the tacks to the underside of the beetle if you try to pull him out....

The palmetto bug purse is actually from a commercial pattern. Here's a link to a photo of the pattern (nayy with the vendor): http://stcroix.globat.com/~lisasheaven.com/id567.htm  I've had the pattern for years and always wanted to try it... I changed the embellishments, which included silk ribbon embroidery because I don't have any silk ribbon....
