yes, you heard me (read me) right.  beans and bananas.  only problem is, i can't reamember what goes in, or even what ought to come out...  i had a delightful beans'n'bananas at some restaruant somewhere in van, but i was absolutely smammered at the time...  i've been experimenting lately with other things to put in and spices, but haven't struck home with a keeper yet.  any ideas?

The only thing I can think of with that is something coming from the Islands (Cuba, Jamaica, Caribian, etc... I so cannot spell) using plantains, a close, more bitter relation to the Banana.

Are you looking for something like this recipe for plantain empanadas?

Or something simpler, like this African dish?

so i should have been more specific...  they weren't quite green bananas (an easy substitute for plantains) and it was more of a big mess of beans'n'stuff over rice (as most good meals are...)
