These spiders were inspired by a lampshade I saw in the Bombay Company Store.
They were charging $79.00 for the lamp.  These didn't cost anything.
I just used what I had in my stash.  They are fun to make.  So far I have made 6, but I'm still going.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Supplies:
Needle nose pliers and/or scissors
Five 8 inch pieces of Bead wire
Seed beads
Round or Oval beads in 2 different sizes
Ruler (optional)
Step 1: Fold 1 piece of wire in half.  Slide 1 seed bead in middle.
Step 2: Slide the 2 round beads over BOTH wires. Leave 1/2" between beads.
Step 3: Slide about 5 beads onto each fang. Secure. (see step 6) Cut excess wire.
PUT THIS ASIDE UNTIL LATER.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Step 4: Slide 1 bead onto a wire and bend at about 1 inch.
            Slide a few beads over both wires to secure.

Step 5: Fill the wire with 4 inches of beads.

Step 6: Secure by sliding the rest of the wire over the first bead and Through the next few.
            Clip the excess wire. Leave about 1/2" of space  in the middle of the wire.

MAKE 4 OF THESE.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Step 7: Lay out all pieces and spread out the beads in the middle of each wire.
Step 8: Hold the 4 wires in the center and twist them together.
Step 9: Twist the LEGS onto the BODY.
Step 10: Shape the legs and enjoy!
Holy Batman! Those are awesome!!!! And a little creepy, since I fear spiders.
You've inspired me: I'm going to try making one tonight.
These look so much easier to make than the beaded spider tutorial I tried a while back!
Now I'm curious about that lampshade...Was it covered in beaded spiders?
The spiders were hanging from a beaded web shade.
Nifty!
You could even make different types of spiders. A black widow with painted hourglass shape on him could be paricularly neat!
Do you plan to incorporate them into a lampshade and lamp, as well?
Hope you keep us updated!
Exactly!
I don't know what I'll do with them.  I'm just making them.  I'll have 32 spiders when I finish up the beads I have.
