Here are the pincushions i made for the Pincushion Challenge.

I was having a bitch of a time photographing them, especially the poppy...
Now i find out, our camera is a mostly outdoor digital camera.
no wonder the 1st bunch of photos came out crappy!
* kitkabbit ***grumbles***

cranky cranky!
i wanted to smack that camera!!!

here are the pics:

the poppy was quite complicated, was inspired by Georgia O'Keefe's Poppy painting.

flowerpuffs, the brown one is my fave!

the poppy, all by itself

enjoy =)

Your flower pincushions are gorgeous!  I love the simplicity of the sakura cherry blossoms Smiley

Awesome flowerpuffs!!!

A store where I consign my crafts asked me to make them some pumpkins that are ?divided? that way.  I presume it's done with floss???

Do you have a moment to explain?

I'm going on va-ca tomorrow so if you post and I don't respond, I'm not rude, lol.

Hey =)
I used the Whip it up pincushion tutorial for the flower puffs:

excellent tutorial-
I used floss and perle thread to bind the petals.

enjoy =}
I've made a bunch more flower pincushions that I will be posting soon, after i take the pics =)

I love them all! The poppy is just awesome!

I found that flowerpuff tutorial about a week ago, and I have been going nuts with them. So much fun to make! I am making them for all of my friends/relatives who sew. I think I might also have to make some of them into ornaments for my Xmas tree this year. That way, I can make as many as I please, and have a use for them all.  Wink
