I would love to make something like this for my mom, but I have never worked with glass before. I googled it, and it seems easy enough to cut (using oil and cutters)...I am just wondering if you have any tips? Like on drilling or what cutters are best (tile cutters??) Where can I buy glass??

Thanks

a hard ware store will sell you plate glass, mind you it wont be coloured, but it would still be pretty. be sure to buy extras because you will most likely brake it. to add a more personal touch to the peice you can paint on one side of the glass, that always looks nice.
good luck!

Beautiful!

Have you had it in the wind?  How's the sound?

Great job!
