I can tell you, Fall is composed of

1 part dead fish smell
1 part wet leaves
1 part arctic chilled air (not winter chilled variety)
2 parts crunchy walking
a pinch very cold rain
some apples you picked yourself
a few very still moments
a good deal of inner reflection

OK -- playing a little catch up on the praise....

To bubba*tink -- That wallet you made for simplyfussfree is too friggin' cute. Those colors make me want autumn to be here already. I love how you added the little strap to it. There's nothing better than a wallet that can double as a purse.

To lol-lol -- That hat is darling on you. Ask and ye shall recieve, eh?

HSH Stephen Weaver, the fabulous Prince Consort of SABLE and I had a personal swap.  I sent him several books on altered books and some oh so Southern candy (Goo Goo Cluster and Colt's Bolt) and an assortment of Altoid Sours that he couldn't find at home.

In return, he turned sleuth and poked around in my Wists list and sent me the most fabulous craft I've seen in a while: a hand embroidered, hand colored, soft sculpture globe!!

He attached beads for his home town (Cape Town, SA), his current residence (London) and his vacation home (western France).  Ooo-la-la ba-booom!  Wink  I was positively giddy when I opened the box!  Thank you, Stephen!

Packed in with the globe where eight sachets (also in the picture) stuffed with lavender from his garden.  Mmmmmmm. Smiley  And, to top it off, some always fascinating (at least in my book) ephemera from across the pond, everything from bus passes, to Royal Opera tickets, to lottery tickets, postage stamps, post cards, theater announcements, claim checks and grocery receipts.

Thanks, Stephen!  You've literally rocked my world!  Grin
