Travel Notebook

My mom and I are going to Ireland in July with our significant others, so I decided to make her a travel journal to go along with this little "Dublin At Hand" guide book that I bought her for Christmas. This is my first time posting images on here, so I'm extremely sorry if I do something wrong. Just let me know and I'll correct it:)

http://img7.photobucket.com/albums/v21/robots8myheart/pinin.jpg i made this page out of some thick black foam from Michaels. I put a few pushpins in it, and lucky me - they don't come out the other side:) I just thought it'd be handy in case she found some cute business cards or flyers and whatnot.

It was a really fun project, and I enjoyed it even more because I love my mom so much:) I think she'll get a lot of use out of this. I just bought a cheap mini 3 ring binder from Walmart, and used cardstock and regular lined paper (all cut down to size and hole punched) for the "stuffing" and threw in some of the pretty decorative travel paper. Very easy:)

;DI thought that Travel Notebook idea was great!! Very inspiring as I am going to Florida for spring break and was thinking of making one... I especially like the foam and pushpin idea...excellent!

i first got the idea for a travel journal from the DIY planners on glitter.  i'm in the process of making mine for my trip to greece. i shrink-copied some important info from my lonely planet books, the ferry schedules, metro map, hostel info so it will fit in my handy notebook. that way i don't have to take the big bulky book out everywhere i go.  i can also have pockets for souvenirs, journal pages, postcards, etc. yay!
