Everything you need to know about posting for a swap angel.

Posts to this board are to be made by the organizer of the swap only. This is to ensure that there aren’t multiple posts. At the bottom there is information about organizers who flake.

Start a new thread titled like this: Name of Swap -- # Angels Needed

Include the following information:
Swap Name:
Original Thread link:
Gallery thread link:
# of Flakers:
Make sure to have a numbered list of the swap angels needed. As the number changes correct the title and list the angels.
Feel free to add other information if you feel its necessary.

Include the names and info of the people who need angels:
Example:

PinkMafia
Likes:
Dislikes:
Etc..

Please do not include any personal information such as email or mailing address on the board.

When the angels are filled please put FOUND in the title. A moderator will move it to the swap angel archive area. When your angel packages have been received let a moderator know and we can give FOC to the angel. Please give your angels proper feedback. 

When you find a swap angel can everyone please put the angels name next to the person they are crafting for.
Example- PinkMafia needs 1 angel (swap angel- PunkMafia)
That way if we need to find out who was a swap angel we can reference old posts instead of asking the organizer. Thanks!!

If the organizer flakes:

In the case of an organizer flaking please open a help desk ticket. The swap mods will investigate the swap and try to make contact with the organizer. Normally when an organizer flakes, someone volunteers to take over. The new organizer will be allowed to post and call for angels. If nobody volunteers we will close out the swap and make the call for angels.

ORGANIZERS- When you have a completed angel in a swap, please make sure you open a Help Desk ticket letting the swap mods know about your angel, even if they already have FOC status. We will need to update profiles for people so they are started on a fresh year’s subscription to the best place ever! You are responsible for giving appropriate feedback.

After many swap angels flaking we have decided to implement a new rule.

If you volunteer to be a swap angel and flake you will receive NEGATIVE feedback. You are making a commitment just as you do in a swap and must fullfill your promise. If at any time you want to change your negative feedback you will be required to be a swap angel TWICE before the negative will be changed.

Would the normal swap participant requirements apply for a swap angel as well (ie. must be a member for over a month, must have at least 15 posts, no negative feedback)?  Or would the need to find someone to step in override that?

you can angel for someone, but it DOES NOT count as your first swap.

does angeling count at all in regards to feedback?  it's not my first swap, but i'm wondering if i'll get feedback for it?

Do the people who have flaked still recieve the parcels or do they send them back?
It seems unfair for the person who sent the parcel in good faith to not even hear what the flaker thought of the parcel.

There is no way to make the flaker return the package--they won't respond to messages anyway.  It is unfair, but that's why there are swap angels--to make it a little more fair!

yes, you can. But remember, committing to this is the same as committing to a swap so if you flake you get a negative. Not that you would I just want to be clear.
