ugh if only my camera was working so i could show you all my shoes!! mod podge is a type of glue that's for multi purposes. its easy to use on dozens of surfaces. the best way for me to use it (especially on shoes) is to go to your local hardware store and get sponge brushes. they have wooden handles and black sponges in square-type shapes a lot of the time. you can get two good size brushes for like $1.16 at Home Depot.  im going to do a shoe tutorial soon about mod podging shoes so stay tuned! haha.

Is modpodge waterproof?
I live near Seattle, so it gets quite rainy and I wouldn't want to mess up my shoes in the rain. If it isn't is there anything else(cheap) I can use.

I have never done shoes before but I wonder if you can shellac them?  Also, shoe places sell waterproofing spray that you can treat your shoes with, that might help against the moisture.

Ive already read about modgepodge. I like the multi-purposes-fact best. Does anyone know how to get it in Germany?
Ive seen some modgepodge shoes on the board, just search. Id try it on cheap shoes first.

Mod Podge can be bought from most craft stores; it's typically found where the adhesives/glues are. I've bought mine at Michael's and JoAnn's. Here is the link to the website for the product: http://www.plaidonline.com/apMP.asp

It comes in gloss, matte, and sparkle so you have some choices. I've not used sparkle so I don't know how bright it is.

I'm about to use it on a pair of boots I bought (dang mom pressure) but have NEVER worn. They're 80's looking (slightly slouch) high heeled, apartment beige boots and they need serious help.
