Tanza, this kit is just great.  I can't keep gushing about it.  I think this weekend I am going to have to tear into it and I will be posting up my finished objects.  This kit is just amazing!  She did such a great job - and the fabric box is just gorgeous!  She is one talented crafter all around - and her examples are just awesome too - sooo pretty!

There is a book called
Omiyage
ISBN: 0809229099

I saw it at BAM! (books a million) and fondled it for a long time - she suggested that one and also another book..

Folded Flowers
ISBN: 0972121803
I haven't seen that book but it is by the same person and if it is anything like the omiyage book it will be exactly what you'd be looking for..
I am going to be heading to the library this weekend.... I need to do a looksee - and pick up that endangered species pattern book too -

I think these would really be up your alley Tanza.  you would have a field day!
I had to open up my box to look for those isbn numbers she suggested - I just love opening that box - I can hardly contain myself - I want to rip right into it - but I am trying hard to focus on my work projects before doing fun things but I might just need to break that - maybe when I feel like tossing those purses out the window I will pick up one of those ziplock baggies and make one and see how it goes.  Such an awesome kit!  I am beginning to love kits! This is my second one and I think I am totally hooked on kits  Whoever thought of sending kits out is just genius!

You got lucky on that find - my library came up completely empty on all the books by her - I went on Amazon and there are several out there - I just wouldn't know which one to get first!  I am going to go back to the bookstore now this weekend and see if they have anything else by her - so I can compare - and yes, I do know what you are thinking...

I can't wait for the library to open to see if there is a way to out of area borrow books - I know some libraries even carry the amigurumi magazines so that would be a great borrow for me as well!

Oh, I posted up pics of my boys in their halloween costumes in the costume contest board - I am far not a winner but it felt good to actually make their costumes - well, half of it - they were knights. I got their armor from the dollar store... which is so much better than pounding copper like my mother did for the gladiator costume she made back in the 70's.. that costume is still floating around somewhere..
