I made these for my friend's birthday.  They're my very first socks and I am immensely proud.  I based them on a pattern from Hello Yarn, but I found the long floats of the skull design too hard to handle, so I drew up my own chart.  I also had to fudge the heel a bit with the help from som video instuctions I found on the 'net.

I posted questions about these earlier, but I'm too lazy to find the original thread, so thanks to all those who gave me advice.  It helped lots

On my feet!

Here you can see the design a bit better

And here it's next to the ducky soap I found at the farmer's market (we have a joke about ducks) and the threasure chest I painted to put them in.

They're far from perfect, but I still like them.

What a great friend you are!
I think the socks are great, and I really like that you went with a theme!

I realise I accidentaly stole the "piraty goodness" part of the title and really feel bad about it.  It was in my head because I had just looked at the "dreads of piraty goodness" thread and wasn't thinking  Undecided

Those came out really nice!

And your original thread is here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=103080.0, I believe.
I'm a nerdy, pirate-obsessed girl who has threads like that bookmarked  Cheesy
