I've been busy with a bunch of random crafting recently, most of which I can't show off until it's sent to my crafting partner and she's received it (nope, no spoilers to be found here!). What I can share with you, however, is my recent costume creations. I wasn't sure where to put this topic, if I'm in the wrong spot then I'm sorry and feel free to move me

I had to attend a 'Red Carpet' affair where everyone dressed as a movie character. I went as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz and while I don't have a picture of the whole costume, I do have to share the shoes with you.

They took TWENTY METRES of red sequins! That's a lot of red sequins.

This weekend will be spent celebrating my cousin's 18th birthday with a masquerade ball. I made a mask for the event that I am quite proud of.

Isn't it lovely?

I'm in love with your shoes! They're gorgeous, I hope that they hold up okay and everything so you can keep wearing them. Ithink If I had ones like that I'd find excuses to wear them everywhere, just wandering around the supermarket

Your mask is lovely too - is it cast on your face or did you use a blank?

crafting kudos Smiley

I had a masquerade for my 18th! Except it wasn't a ball, it was a masquerade and mad hatter's dinner party. Fun stuff. Your mask is gorgeous, very elegant. Love the shoes too.  Grin

The shoes have held up perfectly so far, but they've been retired until I have my baby because heels are a painful experience when you're expecting! But I'm sure they'll get to go on adventures once I can wear them again.

I used a blank for the mask, I was planning to make one from my face but I ran out of time Sad

Thanks for the compliments *blush*
