SWAP DETAILS
Step into the wardrobe and journey to the realm of Narnia, where lions reign, winter lasts a hundred years and nobody knows what "shaking hands" is. Welcome to the Narnia Swap! You have a full month to craft one large item and several smaller items, or the equivalent, such as two medium and several smaller items:

LARGE = 3 hours or more (e.g. scrapbook, sweater)
MEDIUM = 2 to 3 hours (e.g. scarf)
SMALL = 2 hours or less (e.g. coin purse)

These are strictly suggestions, of course, but we want to make sure nobody feels jipped gypped unfairly treated. Also, as a side note, Turkish Delight is an acquired taste. If you're planning to send your partner some Turkish Delight--and I know some of you must be--please make sure he or she likes it/wants to try it/knows someone who would eat it.

If you want to participate, PM the organizer with all the information between these two lines (swap-specific questions adapted from the Harry Potter Favourite House Swap by Kristen81--thank you!). IF YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE, REMEMBER TO SEND YOUR INFO TO ORGANIZER VIA PRIVATE MESSAGE AND NOT TO REPLY WITH IT HERE. Also, please post something, anything, in this thread so you can stay informed.

Do you have to have feedback to participate? I'd love to do this one, but this would be my first swap so obviously I don't have any yet.  Roll Eyes

Because of the new swap rules, you can only have 5 in progress. I need some positive for a few so I can swap more! If this is your first, it is the only one you can join until you get positive feedback for this one.

First-time swappers are quite welcome, as long as you haven't signed up for any others as well.

I'm going to join!  Have to wait a few days to signup (till I get my feedback from the newbie swap) though.  I'm excited! Smiley

They're usually gelled fruit candies with a powdered sugar coating.

Oh. My. God. Is that funny! I seriously just laughed out loud. That's a fantastic guess! I love that you thought that! I think I thought they were some kind of pastry (you know... "Turkish"... like "Danish"). But I love making the connection between "Turkish" and "turkey!" Hee hee. That's way better!

Thank god for the internet -- now we can just look this stuff up. And then we don't have to admit to our childhood confusion, but... I love you for doing it anyway -- it's wonderful! I love the idea of Edmund eating dripping chunks of gravy-dipped turkey. Love it!

[edited because I just suddenly thought: "Gosh, I hope she doesn't think I was laughing at her." I mean, I guess I kind of was, but more just at the way that you put it. Especially when you said, "but I'm pretty sure that's wrong.  Cheesy " It was just great. I really appreciate your honesty... not enough people in the world are willing to admit they might be wrong about something. Thanks for the chuckle. Smiley ]

Mmm... turkey...
