How neat!  This is the same exact recipe I've used to make choc. chip cookies for a while.  In my experience, what makes them chewy is putting them in a plastic container (tupperware or something) at room temperature overnight.  Straight from the oven they're cakey-like, but the next day they're really chewy.

Now I have to make them again-you've got me drooling over cookies!!!

I used this recipe : http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=110620.0

But added 1/4 a cup more brown sugar, therefore 1/4 a cup less of white sugar, added 1/2 a teaspoon of sesame oil, and a tablespoon of toated sesame seeds.

They taste so yummy, they are really good cookies and the sesame adds a nice unexpected nutty flavor!

They are sooo chewy!
