Hi All,

After sewing a few bags from the wonderful tutorials posted here on craftster, I think it's time I try my hand at a pattern.  I chose Simplicity 4157 View A.  Before I cut pattern I have a few ?'s:

Those triangles on pattern, am I spose to cut those on pattern and or/fabric?

What does with or without nap mean?

I think it I get those 2 questions answered I can be on my way, but there are no guuarantees I won't be back hounding my fellow crafsters.  Of course, I'll post pictures of my completed fo.

Thanks In Advance
Necia

Triangles: I cut them out, mirror-style. They are used to match pieces up (triangles on bottom of top should match triangles on top of skirt, etc.) I find them very helpful

As for nap, I'm not 100% sure, but I think this means definate texture/patterns. If you go with a fabric with a definate nap (say corderoy (i know sp)) you'll need to buy more to match up the striping correctly. I dislike fabrics like this because it results in extra thinking!  Wink

If I'm wrong about nap, hopefully someone will correct me!

Thankyou.  I'm gonna go back and cut out those upside down triangles.  If my memory serves correctly mine are located along the collar of the dress I'm using.  Not sure though, as I'm depending on my brain right now as I type.
