Hi everyone,

I was inspired by some of the Mario X-Stitch patterns created here, so I made a few of my own and wanted to share with you guys.  I hope the pics came out OK as I had to make them much smaller to fit.  My original patterns are triple the size!  I wanted big patterns to use, to make gifts for my brother.

Let me know what you think!

This one is a Portal Opening from one of the Mario Games, I don't remember which one.  But my brother always liked it!

Here's Goomba

Here's Cheep Cheep

And finally Bowser- For some reason when I saved him, his bottom half color changed  slightly.

Hope you guys like them and use them.  Show pics of what you make!
I'm off to make some more.  I'm addicted!!!

Those are awesome! I think I may bead Goomba. X-Stitch patterns with no half-stitches are PERFECT for beading. Thanks!

Those are great!  I don't cross-stitch, but I can admire them anyway.

Just so you know, the first one is the portal opening from Super Mario Bros 2, you know, the weird one that is nothing like any of the others?  I always liked it because I could be Toad.

LOL Doki Doki Panic in Japan...a totally different not-MArio game. Mario 2 in Japan was too much like SMB 1 I guess for US audiences...

I've been needing a good bowser image, too...If anyone comes up with just yoshi, my 3 year old daughter will thank you!

Thanks all!  I can't wait to get started on Bowser myself.  Have to wait for  extra cash to buy thread though!  Sad

You can use a program called PcStitch and it will convert images to x-stitch patterns. There's a free version available on their website, the only features that are disabled are the save and print options. But I've heard that's it's possible to copy the image made from PcStitch to MS Paint, so then you can print or save the pattern.

Also, if it's a very small pattern, you can use MS Paint. Just zoom in on the pic, and find the option to turn the grid on. Then you'll be able to see every square in the picture.

http://www.darklilac.com/upload.jsp works well if the picture you want to convert isn't too complicated. you can size it however you need to and customize it to whatever color cloth you're using, and however many colors of thread you want to use. it might take a few tries but i've found it to be pretty useful Smiley
