so i have been lurking around and looking at everyones  stuff and decided it was time to step up and POST. Here is part of a series of pictures i have been working on.  I am currently living in south Korea with out a good network of art buddies sooooo.... I would love some feed back. Thanks

those are awesome! there is an artist who embroiders on her paintings whos work i saw at the Museum of African Diaspora recently. but i like yours better.

These are splendid.  The embroidery really adds a great touch to them, especially the second piece.  The only thing that really bugs me in any of them is the outline of left most bird in the third piece, it is a bit thick, so it distracts a little.  But that is the only thing I can possibly come up with.  Overall, wonderful job and I love the feel of them.

so the fist one is little.. about post card size.  the other two are bigger.. around 45cm wide x30cm tall.. the last one is a little bit larger then that.

just paper.. its easy for me to stitch through.. i should do it on canvas... wouldn't tear and i could stretch it later!

i go as small as i can (honestly have no idea what type it is) just a regular sewing needle.  but the smaller the eye the smaller the hole it leaves behind.  i  make the holes before i  start sewing then just go back and thread my way through. also the acrylic that i am sewing on keeps it all together. gentle is the way! hope that helps.
