Do you have a slip that's already made, or do you want to attach a lining to the skirt because the fabric will be see-through? If you want a lining, I'd sew it along the top of the skirt when you're doing the casing (assuming you make a drawstring skirt).

I was thinking of making a skirt from a small T-shirt that i have that's torn, and cutting the bottom lace part of the slip off and attaching it to the hem of the shirt. That's what i mean. Sorry if i confused u all. Smiley

Oh okay! Well, if I were you, this is what I'd do:

Cut off the sleeves from your shirt, and then cut a straight line across the top, getting rid of the neckline and shoulders of your shirt. Turn the shirt inside out, and sew up where the arms used to be. Hem the bottom (with the same seam, you can attach the lace -- just make sure you pin it from the inside when you're pinning the hem). Turn the shirt right side out, fold the top over twice (you're making a casing, but you probably don't want the raw edges of the fabric to show). Make sure you have a place for the drawstring to come out (so cut holes wherever you want them... the front, the side, the back, whatever), then sew the casing down. Thread a ribbon through the casing and you're done!

Did I answer your question?

Post pictures in the finished projects area when you're done! I'd love to see how your skirt turns out.
