So, a little back story- i have short hair, and I’ve always wanted dreads but im too stubborn to grow my hair back.  And normal falls wont work because I don’t have enough hair for a pony tail or pig tails.

Now, in about 2 weeks i am having a rocky horror party (thats a whole different thread entirely) and I was completely lost when it came to my hair.  I could always faux hawk it, but ive done that before.  then i had a stroke of genius.  well maybe not genius, but i felt pretty creative.  so one headband, a half a ball of yarn, and about 12 glue gun burns later- i have falls!  actually, i dont know if they're considered falls... whatever it is... i love it.  they make me feel like a completely different person, which is important when i put my rocky horror costume on ( i'll post those pictures after the party).  any enough with my gabbing...

oh so happy with my hair

and just for fun:
let there be lips!

(those are mine btw)

hope you like it!

ps. wearing it in a ponytail is the only way it covers my hair. maybe i'll post pictures of it off my head later, but i'm wearing it right now and too tired to take it off.   Grin

well, I'm not exactly going AS someone, more like my entire outfit was inspired mainly by Frank.  But since i am a woman a consequently, not a male, i modified my costume so that it would best suit me... not a cross dressing man.  yeah. i am terribly excited!

Aaaarrghh! I am SO glad I saw your post! I *do* have dreads, but I've been trying to work out how to attach snakes for a medusa costume. You've given me some ideas -- thanks Kiss

And... they look cool Grin good work.

 You know I'm doing something just like this! Did the wool in yours just come like that? It's soo pretty. I'm braiding some old wool then attatching them to a black headband. Yours looks so gourgeous!

I would also be really grateful for a tute, if you were so inclined.

REALLY awesome.  I love the colours, and the starry headband goes really well.  Yay crafty inventiveness!
