Hi,

I made these two shawls from the same pattern and yarn but they came out looking different. Must've crochet into the wrong space! The hat I made from the Better Homes & Garden Crochet magazine. What do you think?

Kara.

I got the shawl pattern from groovy crochet.  It's super easy.  I used 3 skeins of Lion Brand Jiffy and an H hook.  It took around 8 hours but I'm pretty slow.  Thanks for the nice comments.  I think it depends on which space you  crochet into the second row which gives you a rectangle or octagonal pattern.   As for the hat, the pattern was in Better Home & Garden's Simply Creative Crochet magazine dated 2003. I haven't seen another issue since!  I don't know web etiquette so I don't know if it is okay to post the pattern.

Kara.

Wicked cute shawls and hat.  I love the blue shawl.

So, I tried to see if they had any magazines left but I can't find it and I love the hat.  Do you think you could email me the pattern?  I know I feel bad but I love the hat too much already. Cheesy  It's too dang cute!!
