I got a package in the mail today ---- and it had overnight bags for my kids!  Okay, I am going to have to admit that I can't take pictures right now - they ran off with them already!  I think Logan is guarding his train bag with his life.. and Collin is shoving all sorts of dinosaurs in his already - he isn't even waiting to go to Grandma's house to fill it up!

I will take pictures after they fall asleep - I figure I should be able to pry them out of their hands by then!

Pictures are coming soon!  I just wanted to say that I got a package - it did swim across an ocean - and I am super happy - ohhhh..  maybe if I put on a video they will be preoccupied long enough for me to snap a few shots..

They are really cool - kind of backpack styled and drawstringed all at the same time - Logan's has wonderful trains on the front and Collin's has amazing dinosaurs - great fabric choices!  The trains are amazing - beautiful fabric.. okay, both are amazing!

Thank you thank you thank you - this is really cool... okay.. video going in I am going to try and snap a few shots!(they love getting things just as much as I do!)

i've always seen mantecol but have never tried it... ooooohhhhh tempting! i'd like to give it a go!

and i'll see what i can do to scrounge up some dulce de leche and send it off! i'm half done with the stuff my foc sent me! (piggy!)

oh, no need, i'll be going to buenos aires to visit my parents for xmas so I'll get plenty of yummies then!!  There's this awesome pancake (crepes) restaurant right in front of my parent's apartment, and they have hundreds of different ways they'll make a pancake, and my favourit is the 192!!!  It's dulce de leche con crema y frutillas y chocolate!!!! ooooh yum yum yum!!!!!!!  drooooooool.....

I can tell you, Fall is composed of

1 part dead fish smell
1 part wet leaves
1 part arctic chilled air (not winter chilled variety)
2 parts crunchy walking
a pinch very cold rain
some apples you picked yourself
a few very still moments
a good deal of inner reflection

What's a dulce de lece? something about milk?

dulce de leche is kind of like caramel -- its made with milk and sugar mostly, and other stuff i don't know of. it's caramel-y goodness basically! when i lived in argentina, the argentinians told me that they invented it, but personally, i think peruvians made it (it's called manjar blanco in peru) Wink

I got my package today! And boy was it worth the wait!! It's in a word...fantabulouslywonderiffic! It really is exactly me. It's kinda freaky cause I have only done one swap and my partner has me nailed! I will post pics later cause I have to leave. It had a sewing pouch ( I have never seen one like this and was overjoyed!) an ADORABLE set of earings that I have plans for sunday! a cute little memo pad that is a shoe ( can never have too many shoes!) and a little pot of junior mint lip gloss..my favorite candy! mmmmm And there were magnets...but I'm a little slow, I think they must be for holding down a pattern? Anyway
My secret Foc you ROCK!!! It was perfect and I love it all soooooooo much!!!!

I received my first package last night - what a lovely bunch of stuff to come home to!

I got:

a pretty purple and teal apron
(sorry for the bad picture - there was an angry cat sitting on the blankets, refusing to let me make more room for the apron)

and starry oven mitts!

They're perfect! Smiley I'm going to wear/use them later tonight to bake a cranberry loaf. Thank you so much, Secret FOC!  Grin
