I'll be the first to say that everything you made is incredible! Perhaps once I've finished up some projects I've been delaying you and I could do a personal swap.

I am so hitting "This Rocks" on the squid mirror! It's just freaking-fantastic!

Is the squid clay? What kind? (Not that I could ever do anything that cool with clay, but I just gotta know. Cheesy )

Wow!  Thanks y'all  Cheesy Where is that blushing emoticon?  I totally need it right now, i'm blushing up a storm.  Thanks so much for all the compliments and wisting and "this rocks"ing- I'm utterly and extremely flattered.  I'm so glad that you all, and especially Evil_Abbe, like my squid mirror.

to answer a question:
Is the squid clay? What kind? (Not that I could ever do anything that cool with clay, but I just gotta know. Cheesy )

Actually, it's not clay, it's this really light weight sculptable foam like stuff that dries really hard...i'll post the name when I find the packet, 'cause I forget it right now. Tongue I've done some sculpting with it before, and I had some packs left over, so I used it on this.  It can kind of be a pain to make nice sculpts with, but I have a bit of a system for it. It can break, and I told Evil_Abbe that is is fragile, but if it does break, it's a clean break, and just white glue does a good job of gluing it back together.

I can't wait for the next few busy weeks of my life to pass by (I have visitors coming to stay with me, and my birthday, and more stuff and junk...) so that I can start up on another swap.  This has been so satisfying!!!  Cheesy

my partner, dorcas, has been very busy this week, so of course i offered to post pictures of what i set to her.  here goes...

Knitted handbag inspired by the Margaret Nicole cableknit bags that are oft' read about here on craftster.  It's lined with a light pink fabric.  The pink crochet flower on it is a pin.

Knitted slub cotton headscarf.

A tin covered with polymer clay and lined with felt.

Some snail and cow hairpins.

John Deere earrings.

Rainy day earrings.

dorcas, i hope you get un-busy soon (so you can join more swaps, hehe).  i'm so glad you liked everything.    Cheesy

heii..

how did you make the cow pins..??

nice work by the way.. Smiley
