I'm really pleased with this batch of bath bombs. I made them as demos for my youth craft class using the craftbits.com recipe (without the added water) and some flexible ice cube trays from Ikea and Superstore. The yellow are pina colada scented, the blue are blueberry scented, and the pink are strawberry shortcake scented. The only problem is that now I'm addicted to buying scents!

Thanks for your kind words. I am so pleased with them!

I used a basic recipe of:
3/4 cup of baking soda
1/4 cup citric acid
1 tsp oil
colour & fragrance

I found that the tiny bit of oil from the fragrances and the tiny bit of water from the colours were enough to make the bomb stick together. I did worry that they might fall apart over time, but a week later they are still going great! My group made 6 batches of this recipe yesterday, and the only ones that didn't work belonged to the girls who refused to get their hands in there and get messy! So that's pretty much my suggestion -- drizzle the oil and the colour and the fragrance oil over the bombs, use that as a liquid, and get your hands messy!

As for the moulds, I love using them. I like making the small balls, but the moulds are so easy. About 45 minutes in the moulds and they are ready to pop out and use!

Bulk spice shops - I live near Milwaukee, there's a place here that you can buy it in bulk.
