My boyfriend is very tolerant of my inordinate time spent crafting.  One day he came home from work and said "I thought of something you could knit!  How about some sort of hanging thingy to hold our keys and sunglasses?"  Well, I was touched by his enthusiasm, but in the end I decided perhaps this was a more practical way of organizing than anything knit:

I just went to Joann's and found this wooden letter cutouts.  I picked a K for me and T for him (our first initials), they were only like 50cents I think, maybe a dollar.  Again, I was surprised that he wanted to help and was excited to paint his own "T".  He let me add the black and gold flourishes later, so his could be "all pretty like [mine]".  Then I just took some of those screw hooks you can get at the hardware store and put one in the middle face of each letter for keys and one (two on my "K", cause I have more than 1 pair) hanging out of the bottom for sunglasses.  They were really fun and easy to make.  Not that exciting, but he was so proud, and the best part, he actually uses it!

It's the utilitarian craft projects you end up enjoying the most. Love the idea.

hahahahaha! I just may, I just may.  hehe.  Yeah, you could probably do the same thing for just about anything, really.  You could also store necklaces, use a bigger hook and make it a towel rack.

I'm so jealous.

Everytime I work on something,
my bf comes in the room and is like "Ugh, she's 'crafting' again".
