I found the stitch pattern on knitting.about.com -- http://knitting.about.com/library/blseafoam.htm

Its a really easy stitch that looks great!  One of the nice things about lace scarves are that they are great for fall, winter AND spring.  I made this from old reynolds orient express silk on #4.  It looks dressy so I can wear it to work.  Two years of work finished in between hundreds of other projects.   Smiley

Use a really thin delicate yarn.  I tried it with dk and it doesn't look as good.  This one was 6 st - 1" on #4's.
