it is very likely that you are right, and i am wrong.

i have only recently become a hardcore kniter. prior to that it was just a bit of garter stitch picked up in the course of a steiner education.

I am away at festivals for the next couple of weeks and I shall give it a go while i am away, if my 2 toddlers will let me  ....I think I might theme it....food dye colours....mmmm.... yes, I like that idea.

And I have lots of yarn over from my crown misadventures.

ok, this is annoying me. I want to buy their pattern, I really do, but they won't sell to me because my billing address is outside the US/Canada. It doesn't even have to be shipped! Grrr.

Ok, i KNOW this is really really cheeky, but does anyone know of a similar free online pattern?

I can't get my head round how to get it to lie flat if its knitted in the round, thats all.

Grrrr. I even unfroze my credit card to buy it!

 These aren't the same but similiar. She starts from the outside and knits into the center to create blocks.

just an fyi

the 1st link from rebel's post might have some serious errors in the pattern. i attempted it about a year ago & could *not* get the numbers & dec's to line up. i worked with some people on the knittyboard but never managed to sort it out. i might have just been missing some things, but i thought i'd warn you guys in case you try it & think you're going crazy (which is how i felt when i couldn't knit a square according to pattern )
