Anyone want to knit these with me? I ordered the needles and yarn today! Now I just have to get the right size hook.

I'm in! So far all I've got done is the thumbs and one little finger. I'm using a wool/arcylic blend called Erioca in a plain green color.

I was thinking just today how i wanted to make a pair of these! I'm in!  Just let me know when you start.  I must admit that I will be knitting a lot slower then normal though due to a very intense french 2 class I am taking right now.  But it is already half-way done.

but anyway, just let me know when this knitalong offically starts!

I see many pairs of these in my future (and in the future gift baskets for my friends).  I plan on casting on the first pair tonight.

This is a dumb question, I know, but I'm relatively new to knitting: where do I find the pattern?

Do you think this could be done sans crochet? Me and the hook just can't see eye to eye.

I can't knit, but I so desperately want a pair of these. I can do the crochet if you want to do the knit Wink .

I'm sure you can do it without the crochet, but there really isn't that much crochet involved you may want to just try it first.

Cool!  I can't KAL this yet (working on a clapotis) but get it going and I'll be in eventually -- TOO PERFECT for holiday presents!  Particularly for my teen-aged nephew....

I'm almost done with mine! See the progress on my blog (in my sig)

I've also posted a "helper" with photos for those who are getting confused on the "joining of the fingers"!

ooo, i love that yarn you're using, even if it is acrylic! i have to say i cheated...in my own KAL... Sad I'm a bad, bad girl. I used some of my handspun, and I sort of made up my own pattern. I kind of used the Knucks pattern and kind of used the Hooray for Me gloves pattern, but I really just cast on and knit... so really my own pattern.

But I keep telling myself that it's not my fault because my needle and yarn order never went through!

Thanks! I bought the acrylic to whip up some mittens for my mom and kiddo that could get beat up...ended up never doing said mittens! It's perfect for that first test knit for Knucks!

I enjoy the occasional acrylic knit, there's something comforting about using yarn that you wouldn't cry over if it got lost, stolen, burned, etc! But you can bet I'll splurge for my next pair!

That's weird, I didn't have that problem. There's a Knucks support forum that might be good for ideas on fixing that:

Look for the Knucks! section.

for those who have already made these, was it hard to keep holes from forming between the fingers?

Well...I was knitting these for my brother in blue sky alpaca.  Unfortunately, somehow the glove ended up way too big for his hand.  So I have to start over. Cry  Not really sure where I went wrong, because the gauge was fine.  I don't know.  But I guess this time I won't be making the men's size glove.

But at least I got some practice in on the first glove!
Well, now I'm off to try again!

time to resurface this kal! i started mine today and i'm working on the thumb gusset of the first glove. the holes between my fingers are big even though i'm knitting really tight. hopefully the second one will turn out better.

this is my first time knitting any kind of hand accessory too. it's not as difficult as you think. i would have attempted these sooner if i knew how easy they would be. if you have knitted in the round using double pointed needles before, then you can definitely make these.

that's great! i had considered making a second left hand that said "you!" but i think "off!" would be better. i probably have enough yarn for both, though, now that i think about it.
